We will be heading out to Irwindale Speedway in California December 4th for the Gymkhana GRID Invitational with Discount Tire! Once again, I will primarily be in charge of getting POV shots with our tried and true GoPro HD cameras. My goal is to come up with some new and creative angles out on the course and on/in car that maybe haven’t been tried yet. Pretty stoked!

Discount Tire invited us back out to Las Vegas Motor Speedway again this year for their annual Pit Crew Challenge and ride and drive event. Once again, I’ll be joining Keith Flickinger and team on the shoot. I’ll be primarily in charge of POV, armed with several GoPro HD’s and mounting accessories. We’ll also be getting shots with the Canon 7D, HVX200, and HPX300. Unfortunately, I won’t be doing the edit this year due to time constraints with my schedule and trying to finish up school. I hope to post up some clips when I find the time though.

Muscle Milk has a new look with the limited edition ASU Genuine Fire chocolate bottle. The local Muscle Milk crew put on a launch party at Campus Suites in Tempe with a variety of activities and entertainment that got the crowd rejuvenated and energized. We were invited along to catch all the action!

As many of you know, I’ve been working part-time for ASU’s Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering, doing in-house videography, photography, and editing for their marketing and public affairs office. This is mainly because I needed steady but flexible work while finishing my last couple semesters of classes. Most of the projects I’ve been working on haven’t really been relevant to Krazywake but I thought I’d share a couple just to let you know I’m still alive and kicking.

This week has been absolutely crazy busy between school, shoots for work, and now a Red Bull athlete appearance on campus. Thomas Ohler, a trials mountain bike athlete from Austria graced us with his presence this week. Unfortunately, I was too busy to really take on a major shoot and edit for the activation but a special thanks to ASU film student Brian Masucci for providing some footage and compiling a little edit for us. Check it out!

We’re headed to Lake Tahoe to celebrate Discount Tire’s 50th Anniversary and capture all the action. I’ll be in charge of POV GoPro as well as pickup shots on the HVX200 and Canon 7D. I will post some clips if I get a chance.
